How long does it take to build a custom battery?
Lead times depend on the complexity of the battery pack. Most small-scale orders (1-2 packs) are typically assembled and ready for dispatch within 2-3 working days after the quote has been accepted and paid.
We aim to respond to all enquiries within 24 hours during business hours. For larger orders, lead times may vary, and we will provide an estimated timeframe upon enquiry.
How do I determine the voltage and capacity I need?
The voltage of a battery pack is determined by the number of cells in series (S), where each Li-Ion cell has a nominal voltage of 3.7V (4.2V when fully charged). For example, a 3S pack = 11.1V and a 6S pack = 22.2V. Higher voltage is typically required for applications needing more power input.
The capacity (mAh or Ah) represents the total energy storage of the battery and directly affects runtime. A higher capacity means the battery will last longer between charges. Capacity depends on the size and number of cells used, whether they are in series or parallel.

What does it mean to build a battery pack in parallel?
A parallel configuration increases the capacity (mAh) of a battery pack while maintaining the same voltage. For example, three 18650 cells (3.7V, 2000mAh each) connected in parallel will create a 3.7V 6000mAh 1S3P pack.
When specifying a custom battery configuration, it’s important to consider how parallel groups affect the overall cell count and size. For example, a 6S4P pack means there are 6 cells in series (6S) to increase voltage, and 4 cells in parallel (4P) to increase capacity. This results in a total of 24 cells (6 x 4 = 24).
Since the total number of cells increases with parallel configurations, factors like space constraints, weight and heat dissipation must be considered when designing the pack. Be sure to specify both the series (S) and parallel (P) configuration when requesting a custom battery to ensure it meets your application’s requirements.
Can you match my battery to a specific size or shape?
Yes, we can configure the pack layout to fit within space constraints or custom enclosures. Let us know your required dimensions, weight limitations, and shape preferences, and we will design a solution accordingly.
We offer a range of standard cell sizes to help fit specific dimensions, including 14500, 18500, 18650 and 21700. These cell sizes cannot be altered, so while we may not be able to design batteries to exact dimensions, our team is available to suggest the most suitable alternatives based on your requirements.
What types of connectors do you offer?
We offer a wide range of connectors to suit different Li-Ion battery configurations and applications:
- For compact packs: JR Universal, Mini Tamiya, SM2P, Spektrum, XT30
- For mid-sized packs: Deans, EC3, EC5, Gold Connectors, Tamiya, Traxxas, XT30, XT60, XT90, XT150

Is there a minimum order quantity?

Can I modify my order after submitting the form?
Once production has started, modifications may not be possible. Please double-check all specifications before confirming your order. If changes are needed, contact us as soon as possible.
Do you provide warranties for custom batteries?
Yes, we provide a warranty covering manufacturing defects. The exact terms depend on the application and specifications of the battery pack.Â
As each battery is made to order, we cannot accept returns unless there is a fault. If the battery is no longer needed or found to be unsuitable for your application, we will not be able to offer a refund or exchange. Customers are responsible for ensuring the battery specifications meet their needs before production begins. If you’re unsure, our team is available to help guide you through the selection process. Once assembly starts, orders cannot be cancelled.
How much does a custom NiMH battery cost?

Do you ship internationally?
Unfortunately, we are unable to ship batteries outside the UK. If international delivery is required, customers will need to arrange their own forwarding service.
